S.I.T PROGRAM
-
You will see a significant improvement in your dog’s behavior following our Structured Immersion Training. However, it is paramount that owners keep up with training at-home to maintain their results! We include a private lesson at our facility and an in-home lesson to aid you in your transition following the program. Remember, training should be part of every dog owner’s day-to-day life!
-
Yes. Although we believe that the perfect amount of time for a dog to be in training is two-weeks, we can add additional days to training at the per day rate of $135.00 + NYS Sales Tax at the request of the owner.
-
The Structured Immersion Training is priced higher for aggressive dogs due to the safety precautions and extra steps involved during training. We are extremely passionate and diligent in our training when working with aggressive dogs. Our goal is to ensure their success and build confidence.
BOARDING (INCLUDING BOARD AND TRAINS)
-
No, each dog has their own 6’ x 6’ kennel run to ensure their safety!
-
When boarding (including our Structured Immersion Training), you are required to provide proof of rabies prior to your scheduled drop off date.
-
We will need enough food to cover your dog’s stay and toys that can’t be chewed up/swallowed (for example, kongs, nylabones and antlers). Please note that all soft toys and bedding will not be accepted and will be sent home for your dog’s safety. Each kennel is equipped with an elevated Kuranda bed, heated floors and air conditioning to ensure your pet is comfortable during their stay!
PRIVATE LESSONS
-
Every dog is different! The amount of lessons needed will depend on the breed, age, temperament, and behavior you’re looking to achieve! Your trainer will be able to provide you with a sense of what to expect during your consultation. Rest assured you will see progress at every step of the way.
-
You can only book a private lesson for your aggressive dog after they have completed our Structured Immersion Training. This is to ensure our trainers are familiar with your dog, and that your dog has a proper foundation and relationship with our team to ensure we get the most out of the limited amount of time a private lesson provides!
SPORT
-
Similar to military and police working dogs, nose work and scent work dogs are trained for specific odor detection in the realm of dog training. However, instead of focusing on explosives or narcotics, your dog will learn to search for the scents of birch, anise, and clove. Together, you and your dog will engage in exciting scent detection exercises in various environments, including vehicles, containers, the interiors and exteriors of buildings, and even open areas where scents may be buried underground.
Participating in this sport offers numerous benefits, even if you choose not to compete for titles. Some of these advantages include:
- Helping anxious dogs manage their stress in a constructive manner through positive reinforcement techniques.
- Providing both mental and physical challenges that help burn off excess energy, promoting overall obedience and well-being.
- Fostering a stronger bond between you and your dog through collaborative dog training activities.
- Allowing your dog to search independently, which develops valuable problem-solving skills essential for obedience and behavioral training.
Nose work and scent work are accessible to dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes, making it an inclusive and rewarding dog training activity for everyone. Join us for engaging and effective training in this exciting discipline!
